Antonia Batts’ podcast on Talkshoe.com highlights ESWA program and the fight for Sustainable Development Goals

D.A.M.O.N Network

Antonia Batts, a military veteran and resident of Philadelphia, has been a member and a volunteer with ESWA since 2003. She has been an engaging speaker in ESWA classes and has volunteered at literature tables and many ESWA events over the years.

On June 17, Batts joined ESWA in publicizing our program and signing on new members and volunteers on a literature table at the annual health fair hosted by Deliverance Church on Lehigh Avenue. Her interest was piqued by a poster ESWA displayed which listed the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), see right panel, adopted by all 193 member nations of the United Nations in 2015 and endorsed by ESWA and the delegate body of its membership, the Philadelphia Workers Benefit Council, as consistent with the goals for which ESWA has fought since its inception. Batts immediately invited ESWA organizers onto her weekly podcast hosted by Talkshoe.com to speak about this vital program that has inspired action by governments, organizations and people to fight for peace, prosperity and the ecological life of the planet.

An incredible number of listeners – 92,890 people worldwide – checked in or logged on to hear ESWA Operations Manager Freyda Kornblum and Philadelphia Workers Benefit Council President Bernard Reed describe the SDGs on Monday June 26.

Batts’ podcast airs every Sunday and Monday at 9pm EST at Talkshoe.com/Informational Guru – Damon Networks– and focuses on matters relating to the well-being of the working poor.
